
ABOUT
Nicholas Connors is a composer/lyricist, Broadway conductor and orchestrator. He is a Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellow and winner of the Lucille Lortel Theatre's 121 Project. As songwriter and librettist, he has written the musicals COAL and PAPER HOUSES. Nicholas' original songs have been performed by Karen Olivo, Jordan Fisher, Andrew Durand, and other acclaimed artists. He has been an artist-in-residence at Goodspeed Musicals and New York Stage & Film, and also recognized as a multi-time finalist for the Fred Ebb, Ed Kleban, and Jonathan Larson Awards.
Nicholas' Broadway credits include ALMOST FAMOUS (Asst. Music Director), Kristin Chenoweth's FOR THE GIRLS (Assoc. Music Director, Orchestrator) and MEAN GIRLS (Pianist). As a musician, he has worked with Tom Kitt, Stephen Schwartz, Cameron Crowe, Lynn Ahrens, Mary-Mitchell Campbell, and other theatre luminaries. Nicholas has orchestrated or arranged music for stars of stage & screen including Kristin Chenoweth, Tina Fey, Lea Salonga, Jessica Vosk, and André De Shields. His orchestrations have been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, The White House, on PBS, and by many of America's premier orchestras.
Nicholas lives in New York City and is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
